Works Notice
As part of the works contracted to Wilsons, power will be ducted down the north east side of the car park. This is where the ‘hedge’ is next to the fence. It’s an old hedge and we will be excavating and removing it. Once the power ducting has been completed, we’ll create a concrete path to widen the walkway to the Members’ Course Entrance. This was planned for, and you would have noticed how the shrubs on the other side of the fence are bedding in and growing apace.
The work will start this week and be completed in January. When required for works, cones will be used to close certain car parks. There are plenty of other car parks within the Club’s car park while this work is completed for your use.
Taking the opportunity of a small digger being on site, we’re accelerating the relocation of the ‘warm-up’ net behind / beside the first tee. You will see brustic cladding being erected on the fence in front of the water tank, pump shed, and around the warm-up net area. This will add to the aesthetic of the 1st tee precinct.

General Manager
Summer has started… on some days atleast! and the Links is thriving with the rising temperatures and continuing precipitation. Thanks for the all the great feedback on the course. The fairways are in excellent condition and as a result, the lift, clean, and placing rule no longer applies. i.e. No Placing.
As the summer progresses we will naturally see the fairways starting to brown off, this is quite normal and the grass isn’t dying, the grasses go into a ‘dormant’ state and the Links will start to play hard and fast, which is part of the charm and challenge of a Links course in the summer months.

Please note the Annual General Meeting is next Monday 15th December at 6.30pm at Rydges (Karaka Room). The annual report has been circulated along with nomination for officers.
